Tjocknäbbad lärka - Ramphocoris clotbey - Thick-billed Lark - Alouette de Clot-Bey

With this camouflage colors it was really hard to find the birds. Only when they moved you noticed them. This lark was a nice one to see.

A beautiful female sitting on the thorny bush a long while. Never minding a bunch of Swedes closing in. There was not much bugs or flies for her to capture. People said that´s why there are so few birds in the area. And even lesser no of raptors.

This couple of House Sparrow also seem to thrive in the Moroccan desert. A very adaptive species.

Being a bird photographer in Morocco was not easy. First, as very often, the birds are far off. In this case also almost impossible to see. Our tour guide spotted it and told us where to look. I did see vague movements and directed my camera to the bushes. Hoping for the best. I took the shot with my 500mm lens. When I went through the shots to pick a bird for Bird D´Pot I had to look several times before I found the bird in the shot. But it was there. Sad, to say, is that I don´t know the species. Has to be in the list of birds though. So I have to see if I can find it.
